Join GivingTuesday and the National Museum and Center for Service (NMCFS) for an introductory info-session on September 29, 2026, at 4:00 PM EST. This session will guide community leaders, student groups, nonprofit representatives, and neighborhood organizers on how to become “Community Curators” during Generosity Week (December 1–5, 2026).
What You’ll Learn
- The “Museum of Service” Model: Learn how to gather local oral histories of volunteerism, mutual aid, and civic leadership to co-create accessible pop-up exhibits in high-traffic community spaces (such as public libraries or civic centers) without needing a physical museum facility.
- Funding & Stipends: Understand how to apply to be one of 10 Community Curators receiving a $500 operational stipend, and how to utilize GivingTuesday peer-to-peer crowdfunding to cover local printing and installation costs.
- Turnkey Support & Resources: Gain access to free open-source planning toolkits, Canva design templates, virtual co-design sprint workshops, and ongoing technical assistance office hours..
- Cohort Roadmap & Next Steps: Walkthrough of the process to get started, curator readiness self-assessment, and a live Q&A session.
